Recruitment Policy

To register with ProHealthCare all applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s acute mental health experience.
  • Valid NMC PIN for registered nurses

Identity Checks

All applicants are required to provide:

  • Proof of their right to work in the UK- including passport/visas, driving licence and utility bills confirming current address.
    Evidence of NI no.
  • Statement of entry confirming NMC PIN (registered nurses).
  • Proof of professional indemnity insurance (registered nurses)
  • DBS check - all applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Occupational Health Checks

All applicants complete a comprehensive occupational health form which is overseen by our occupational health providers, Forward Vision OH. Applicants are required to provide evidence of vaccinations etc and are provided with a certificate to work that conforms to NHS requirements.


References are obtained to cover all employment for the past 3 years including any agencies that the applicant has been registered with.


All applicants will need to provide evidence of having attended our mandatory training courses as listed on our training page prior to commencing work. All staff undertake PMVA training which is updated on an annual basis.
